Our new club coach is Andy Harries

Andy will be organising various sessions throughout the year

Andy is a keen cyclist and triathlete who has competed in time trials and long distance triathlons. He is a qualified first aider and has up-to-date DBS checks.

He has recently completed a British Cycling Level 2 coaching qualification and runs regular Saturday afternoon sessions, held at the Vine Christian Centre, Bridgend.

  • Currently these are geared towards junior and novice cyclists; covering basic cycling techniques and core bike handling skills. The sessions are based on British Cycling Go-Ride workbooks and include a competitive element but the emphasis is on having fun.

Andy will progress this year, to the Level 2 Road and Time Trial award with a view to qualifying as a Level 3 coach as soon as possible.

There are regular turbo/rollers sessions held on Friday club night over the winter period and these club nights are also a good source of help for bike fits, informal coaching advice and planning your training.
