Welcome to the Ogmore Valley Wheelers website

Gilead Chapel Hall, Gilead Chapel, Heol Spencer, Coity, CF35 6AU We are a cycling club based around Bridgend in Glamorgan, South Wales UK. We welcome people of all cycling abilities.

What do we do?

We are a friendly local cycling club offering various activities such as club rides, social rides, time trialling, coaching, turbo sessions.

The key element of our club is social cycling. Our club runs cater for varying appetites and abilities, from those wishing to enjoy a gentle amble in the lanes, to those aiming to complete some sportives, to those maintaining fitness for competition.

We have mountain bikers, time trialists, tandemists, commuters, pleasure riders, road racers and track riders so if you want someone to ride with, someone to train with or just someone to talk to then come along.

Club rides

There are rides which go out regularly at the weekend.  Saturday is a training session.  Sunday is for club runs.  The times differ, as do the distances and routes to cater for all abilities.

Social rides

Slower and more social rides can be arranged with a cafe stop, over manageable distances.

Time trialling

The club hold weekly 10 mile time trials during the summer, and also take part and promote time trials in the South Wales area.

All year round.  Cyclists meet on Bridgend Industrial Estate on Tuesday evenings.  An excellent way to get your fitness and stamina levels up.

The club has a coach who can help with bike set up and bike fit.  He is also available to answer questions and give advice.

Turbo Sessions

Turbo sessions are held periodically at the club house on Friday evenings.
